Wheels
How long will my car be off the road? Alloy Wheel Refurbishment+
A standard set of four is normally a same-day or next-day turnaround. Diamond cutting and heavier structural repairs can take longer — we tell you the honest timescale when we see the wheels.
Can you match my original factory colour? Alloy Wheel Refurbishment+
Yes. We colour-code to the manufacturer paint code, and we can also go completely custom — gloss black, satin, bronze, anthracite or a colour off your car.
Do you refurbish for trade? Alloy Wheel Refurbishment+
We refurbish for main dealers, car sales sites and race teams as well as private customers. Ask about trade rates and collection.
How many times can a wheel be diamond cut? Diamond Cut Refurbishment+
Typically two or three times over its life. Each cut removes material, so we measure before we commit.
Why has my diamond cut wheel gone milky? Diamond Cut Refurbishment+
Moisture has got under the lacquer through a chip and oxidised the alloy beneath. It cannot be polished out — the wheel needs recutting and relacquering.
Is a straightened wheel safe? Buckled Wheel Straightening+
A correctly straightened wheel within tolerance is safe. A wheel that is cracked, over-buckled or has been straightened too many times is not, and we will tell you.
My steering shakes after a pothole — is it the wheel? Buckled Wheel Straightening+
Very often, yes. If a rebalance does not fix it, the rim is usually buckled. Bring it in for a free look.
Is a welded alloy wheel safe? Cracked Alloy Wheel Repair+
A crack in the barrel or the back of the rim, properly vee-d out, TIG welded and pressure tested, is a sound repair and is done every day across the industry. A crack through a spoke, through the hub face, or across the mounting area is a different matter entirely — that is a structural member, and we will not weld it.
How do I know if my wheel is cracked? Cracked Alloy Wheel Repair+
The usual sign is one tyre that keeps going down with no puncture to be found. Cracks also show up as a damp line of brake dust on the inside of the rim, or after a heavy pothole strike.
Can every crack be repaired? Cracked Alloy Wheel Repair+
No, and this is the part where we would rather lose the job than be wrong. Spoke cracks, hub-face cracks, cracks that have already been welded once and failed, and wheels cracked in several places all get turned down.
Can you repair it with the tyre on? Cracked Alloy Wheel Repair+
No. The tyre has to come off to see the full extent of the crack, to weld safely, and to pressure test afterwards. Anyone offering to weld a wheel with the tyre still fitted is not doing the job properly.
Will aftermarket alloys fit my car? New Alloy Wheels+
We check PCD, offset, centre bore and arch clearance against your registration before you order — no guesswork and no wheels that foul the caliper.
Can I keep my existing tyres? New Alloy Wheels+
If the new wheels are the same diameter and width and the tyres have decent tread, usually yes. We will tell you when it is not worth it.
Bodywork
Can you match metallic and pearl paint? Car Body Repairs+
Yes. We mix to your paint code and blend into neighbouring panels so there is no visible edge.
Do you do insurance work? Car Body Repairs+
Yes. We can also quote for private repair if you would rather not claim.
Can you do the wheels at the same time? Car Body Repairs+
That is the whole point of having both under one roof — panel, bumper and wheels done together, one visit, one bill.
Can this be done while the wheels are off for refurb? Brake Caliper Refurbishment+
Yes — it is the ideal time, and it saves a second strip-down.
Tyres
Is fitting really free? Tyres Supplied & Fitted+
Yes — fitting and balancing are included in the price of any new tyre bought from us. The price you see is the price you pay.
Do I need to book? Tyres Supplied & Fitted+
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking online guarantees your slot and means your tyres are pulled and waiting when you arrive.
Can every puncture be repaired? Puncture Repair+
No. Sidewall or shoulder damage, or a run-flat that has been driven on flat, means replacement. Tread-area punctures under 6mm are usually repairable.
How do I know my wheels need balancing? Wheel Balancing+
Vibration through the steering wheel at motorway speed, or uneven tyre wear, are the classic signs.
How often should alignment be checked? 4 Wheel Alignment+
Annually, after any heavy kerb or pothole strike, and whenever you fit new tyres.
Is the check really free? 4 Wheel Alignment+
Yes. We will put it on the alignment bay and show you the readings at no charge.
Is a TPMS light an MOT failure? TPMS Service+
Yes — a malfunctioning TPMS is a fail on cars first registered after 2012.
Garage
How early can I test? MOT Test+
Up to one calendar month minus a day before expiry, and you keep the same renewal date.
What happens if it fails? MOT Test+
We show you exactly what failed, quote before we touch anything, and retest.
Will servicing here affect my warranty? Car Servicing+
No. Servicing to the manufacturer schedule with the correct parts and oil protects your warranty under block exemption rules.
What is the difference between interim and full? Car Servicing+
An interim is oil, filter and a safety inspection. A full service adds air, fuel and cabin filters plus a much longer checklist.
Is fitting really free? Exhausts+
Yes, on any exhaust supplied by us. You pay for the part only — no labour, no fitting charge, no consumables added at the till.
Does the whole exhaust have to be replaced? Exhausts+
Almost never. Modern systems come in sections, so nine times out of ten it is one section, a flexi joint or a mount rather than the lot.
What is a flexi joint and why does mine rattle? Exhausts+
It is the braided flexible section just behind the manifold that absorbs engine movement. When the braiding fails it rattles on a cold start and quietens as things expand. It is a very common failure and a much cheaper fix than the full downpipe most people expect.
Can any exhaust be repaired? Exhaust Repair & Welding+
No. A single hole or a failed joint on an otherwise sound system is a straightforward weld. A system that is corroded through in several places will not hold a weld for long, and we will say so rather than take your money twice.
Is a welded exhaust an MOT failure? Exhaust Repair & Welding+
No. A properly repaired exhaust that is gas-tight, secure and no louder than standard passes.
How do I know my pads are low? Brakes+
Squealing, a grinding noise, a longer pedal or a brake warning light. We will check them free while the wheels are off.
Do I have to use main dealer parts? Brakes+
No. Quality aftermarket parts perform to the same standard for considerably less, and we will explain the difference before you decide.
About this demo
Is this a real garage?+
No. This is a live demonstration of the AI Wheel Tech platform. The tools work on real data — the registration lookup and MOT history are genuine DVSA and fitment lookups — but the business itself is a placeholder, and the bookings and customers in it are invented.
Can I look at the back office?+
Yes, and you should — it is the part you cannot get anywhere else. There is no login — walk in and click whatever you like. Create an account and the branding you set is yours: it is there when you come back, and only you see it.
This is not my trade — can it do what I do?+
Probably. Use the trade switcher in the bar at the top of the page: the same platform runs as a refurb specialist, a PPF and detailing studio, a styling shop, a tyre and MOT garage — and, to prove the point, a restaurant. The catalogue, the booking flow and the back office all change with it.
Can I put my own name on it?+
Create an account and type it in. The site is in your name straight away — headings, footer, address and the browser tab. Nobody else sees your version.
Where does the tyre and wheel data come from?+
The AI Wheel Tech platform API — the same fitment database that powers the trade. Enter a registration and it resolves the vehicle, then the wheel and tyre sizes that genuinely fit it, including staggered setups.
How much is it?+
Sites run £99, £249 or £349 a month plus setup, with the platform API included at every tier. If you only want the API for a site you already have, that is priced separately. Talk to us and we will tell you which one you actually need.
