Four kerbed 20s on a Range Rover — powder coated back to black
2026-07-19 · a real job from our bays (customer details never published)
Kerb damage rarely comes one wheel at a time. This one had caught the same concrete edge going in and coming out, so all four faces were scuffed through the lacquer and into the alloy on the outer rims.
Tyres came off, wheels went through the chemical strip and into the blast cabinet back to bare metal. The deeper gouges were filled and re-profiled by hand — that is the part that decides whether a refurbished wheel looks refurbished or looks new. Then primer, gloss black powder, and baked.
Tyres refitted with new valves, balanced with stick-on weights so nothing was clipped onto the fresh finish, and torqued to spec. TPMS sensors transferred and re-registered to the car.
